New Traffic Safety
Publication Helps Drivers “Get There”
An eye-catching new
traffic safety booklet from AAA Minnesota/Iowa (a part of the Auto
Club Group) and the Minnesota Safety Council provides engaging and
practical tips for drivers of all ages. Get There! Your Guide to
Traffic Safety addresses twenty top issues drivers face behind the
wheel, ranging from distracted driving to bad weather, sharing the
road and more. It focuses on universal best practices, as opposed to
specific laws.
Written in a conversational tone, the free 28-page full-color booklet
blends recommendations with fun facts, quiz questions and vivid
photographs. It’s available just in time for the summer travel season.
The roughly 100 days from Memorial Day to Labor Day are historically
the most dangerous time of year on America’s roadways.
“Get There! can serve as a great refresher before the height of the
summer driving season,” said Randy Williams, president of AAA
Minnesota/Iowa. “We encourage drivers of any age or geographic region
to take these practices to heart and help reduce their risk behind the
wheel.”
“Knowing enough to get a driver’s license isn’t the same as having the
good driving habits that we need to be well-prepared, courteous,
crash-free drivers,” said Carol Bufton, president of the Minnesota
Safety Council. “Get There! is designed to help you get where you’re
going – without a traffic ticket and all in one piece!”
Single copies are available for free (one per person) at any AAA
branch office in Minnesota as well as at the Minnesota Safety Council
office in St. Paul. Get There! Your Guide to Traffic Safety can be
